1. Scope and operator
My Movies & TV Shows Watchlist (the "App") is operated by Vladyslav Khodiachiy ("we," "us," or "our"), an independent mobile application developer based in Ukraine. This Privacy Policy applies to the App, related support services, and features that link to this policy.
For applicable data-protection laws, we is the controller of information for which we determine the purposes and means of processing. Some third-party services, particularly advertising platforms and Apple services, may process information under their own privacy policies and may act as independent controllers for their own processing.
2. Information we process

- Usage and diagnostics: feature interactions, app launches, crashes, errors, performance information, and technical logs where analytics or diagnostic services are enabled.

3. How we use information
We use information as reasonably necessary to:
- provide and maintain the App and its movie and TV tracking features;
- save, synchronize, back up, import, and restore data when you use those features;
- manage purchases and access to paid features;
- show, limit, personalize where permitted, and measure advertising in the ad-supported version of the App;
- understand technical performance, diagnose crashes, and improve reliability;
- respond to support requests;
- detect abuse, fraud, or security problems; and
- comply with applicable legal obligations and protect our rights.
4. Legal bases for processing
Where the GDPR, UK GDPR, or similar laws apply, we rely on one or more of the following legal bases:
- Contract: processing needed to provide a feature or service that you request.
- Consent: for optional permissions, personalized advertising, tracking, notifications, or other processing where consent is required. You may withdraw consent at any time.
- Legitimate interests: to secure, maintain, troubleshoot, analyze, and improve the App, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights.
- Legal obligation: where processing is necessary to comply with applicable law, legal process, accounting, or regulatory requirements.
5. Advertising and mediation
The ad-supported version of the App uses Google AdMob. AdMob mediation allows an ad request to be offered to additional advertising partners so that an available ad can be selected and displayed. Our current mediation setup may include Meta Audience Network and AppLovin in addition to Google advertising demand.
Depending on your device, region, privacy choices, ad configuration, and whether an advertising partner participates in a particular request, advertising services may process information such as your IP address, device and app characteristics, device identifiers, advertising identifiers such as Apple's IDFA where available and permitted, ad impressions and interactions, diagnostic or performance information, approximate location derived from IP, and consent or privacy signals.
Ad mediation does not mean that every advertising partner receives information for every ad request or that every partner serves an ad. The active partner and data flow can depend on the mediation auction, app configuration, partner availability, consent status, and applicable legal requirements.
Where required, we request or respect consent choices before requesting personalized advertising. On Apple devices, the App may also request permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework before accessing the IDFA or engaging in tracking that requires permission. If you decline tracking or personalized-ad consent, the App may still display contextual, limited, or non-personalized advertising where permitted.
We do not sell personal information for money. However, some privacy laws may define certain advertising disclosures as "sale," "sharing," or targeted advertising. Where applicable, you can use the privacy choices presented in the App, change relevant iOS privacy settings, or contact us to exercise your rights.
6. Service providers and disclosure
We disclose information only as reasonably necessary to operate the App, provide requested features, show advertising, diagnose technical problems, comply with law, or protect users and our rights.
Services used by the App may include:
- Apple / App Store — purchases, device services, and platform functionality
- Apple iCloud / CloudKit — optional synchronization and cloud storage
- Google AdMob — advertising and mediation
- Meta Audience Network — mediated advertising demand
- AppLovin — mediated advertising demand
- Firebase Crashlytics — crash and diagnostic reporting, where enabled
These providers process information according to their own terms and privacy policies. Advertising providers may act as independent controllers for their own advertising and measurement activities.
For additional information about advertising-provider practices, you can review the privacy documentation of Google, Meta, and AppLovin.
7. iCloud sync and backups
If you enable or use iCloud synchronization, supported App data may be stored and synchronized using Apple's iCloud and CloudKit infrastructure. This can include your movie and TV library, watch status, ratings, notes, lists, rewatch information, preferences, and related app records.
Apple processes iCloud information under its own terms and privacy policy. We do not receive your Apple ID password or full payment information. You can manage iCloud access and storage through your Apple device settings.
If you create an App backup file, the file is created for the purpose of restoring or transferring your App data. You control where that exported file is saved or shared after it leaves the App.
8. Data retention
We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy. Depending on the type of data:
- your local App library remains on your device until you delete it or remove the App, subject to device backups;
- iCloud-synchronized data is retained according to your use of iCloud, App deletion controls, and Apple's storage practices;
- support communications may be retained as needed to resolve requests and maintain an appropriate support record;
- purchase records may be retained as needed to restore access, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and comply with legal or accounting obligations;
- advertising and diagnostic data is retained according to our configuration and the retention practices of the relevant provider.
When information is no longer required, we delete or anonymize it where reasonably possible, unless retention is required or permitted by law. Information may remain temporarily in backups before routine deletion.
9. International data transfers
Some third-party providers used by the App may process information in countries other than your own, including the United States and other countries where they operate. These countries may have different data-protection laws. Where required, providers may rely on recognized transfer mechanisms and contractual, technical, or organizational safeguards.
10. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information processed through the App. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Children
The App is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under the minimum age required by applicable law. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so that we can review and, where appropriate, delete it.
12. Your privacy rights and choices
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or obtain a portable copy of personal information that we control. You may also have the right to withdraw consent or appeal a privacy-related decision where applicable.
Your available controls may include:
- changing calendar, notification, tracking, and other permissions in iOS Settings;
- using the privacy or consent controls presented in the App for advertising;
- deleting or editing movie and TV data directly inside the App;
- managing iCloud synchronization and stored data through Apple settings and available App controls;
- resetting or limiting advertising-related permissions through iOS; and
- contacting us at support@kh-app.com to make a privacy request.
We may need to verify a request before acting on it and may retain limited information needed to document compliance. You may also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.
13. Third-party links and content
The App may display movie and TV metadata, trailers, advertisements, streaming-provider information, or links supplied by third parties. If you open a third-party website, video, advertisement, store page, or service, that third party's privacy policy and terms apply. We do not control third-party websites or services and are not responsible for their privacy or security practices.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to the App, advertising partners, service providers, legal requirements, or our practices. We will post the revised version on this page and update the effective date. Where required by law, we will provide additional notice or request consent.
